TAM AN FOUNDATION

Note from the founder

My name is Rosemary Nguyen. I was born and raised in a traditional Catholic family in Vietnam. I was in high school in 1975 when the communists took over South Vietnam forcing us to flee our country. I arrived in the United States a teenager, responsible for 3 younger sisters, as refugees with nothing but the clothes on our backs. We managed to stay together and restarted our lives with the loving help of our wonderful American sponsors in the Mid West and later moved to California.

My Passions And Interests

Fast forward to today.

After years of hard work in this great land of opportunity, today I have reached the point of financial independence and semi retirement. I now commit most of my time and entrepreneurial energy to charitable projects as my way to “pay forward”, to return something back to the community.

I also have several projects in my homeland of Vietnam to help with a number of orphanages, shelter for unwed mothers etc… My main interest, however, is to start and support projects that not only help with immediate needs but provide a long term, sustainable solution so that people can become self supporting.
